Sunset strip glam rock in the vein of early Motley Crue or Poison.
It’s far too blatant to call your band Sex, so what’s the next best thing that gets the meaning across? Well you drop the x and substitute k and s….voila! So what sort of music do this Norwegian outfit peddle, yes you’ve guessed: it’s sunset strip glam rock in the vein of early Motley Crue or Poison. It won’t win any prizes for originality; but hey! Who cares as it’s an enjoyable romp through the genre.
Glam standard opener ‘Rich Girl’ kicks off proceedings and although perhaps nothing else comes close quality wise, there’s no disgrace in tapping your foot to ‘Royal Knights’ or the Poison tinged ‘Lick You Up’ or admiring the leftfield nature of ‘Not Far From Shallow Water’ a far more modern sounding song the style of which the band really ought to explore.
‘Harder Than You’ is certainly not the last word in glam influenced hard rock - as many of fans of the Scandinavian glam sleaze scene will attest, yet this remains a more than worthy effort on an independent label.
