A Rocktopia user review by Speedy Hicks.

Whilst the Scandi / Northern Europe invasion of all things melodic and AOR shows no signs of slowing up we suddenly get
a band from the Welsh Capital Cardiff who have stepped up to the plate with this their debut album which is full to the
brim of great songs and classy vocals. Tracks such as “Whatever Heartache” and “Lonely Nights” prove that they can mix it
with the best of em. Vocalist Tony Mills ( yes that Tony Mills ) excels himself on all 10 tracks on offer and can still hit the
high notes even after 25 years. “Unbreak my Heart” a cover of the Diane Warren penned and Toni Braxton monster smash
gets the Serpentine treatment and sits nicely at the close of the album. If I had to categorize Serpentine I would have to file
it under “Strangeways, Magnum, FM” all in all a fine debut album with some enjoyable songs.
