Steve is also working on the next Newman album to be released in the early summer. The album, which will be the follow up to 2011's acclaimed "Under Southern Skies", is currently in the recording stages. Songs set for inclusion are 2 co-writes with Pete Newdeck (Eden's Curse, Tainted Nation) and 1 co-written song with Nick Workman (Kick, Vega). There will be more details to follow very soon.

There have also been some changes within the current band line-up. We're very sorry to announce the departure of bass player Dave Bartlett and drummer Nic Lipscombe. Both the guys have decided to move on for various reasons

Dave has made the following statement:

"It is with great sadness that I announce my decision to leave Newman. The experience working with Steve has been life changing and I would not be where I am in my life right now if it weren't for what I consider my Newman family. Times have unfortunately changed and I feel I must drift away, but I wish Steve the best of luck and many a successful show with the 2013 line up"

Steve had the following to say:

"I'd sincerely like to wish both Dave and Nic the best of luck in their future endeavours, I couldn't even begin to describe what they have brought the band in terms of hard work and dedication. They have both taken the live band somewhere that I could not have even imagined just a few short years ago and have injected their own passion into playing the Newman songs. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. I know that both Dave and Nic have found this decision a difficult one, and for me it's been a difficult one to accept."

So, with the departure of two members of the Newman family, it is time to introduce another two guys that will take the live band into 2013.

Firstly, we'd like to introduce you to bass player, singer George Haworth. George has had considerable experience on the local South Coast UK live scene as well as fronting his own project called "Creature That Bites"

And secondly, taking up the drum stool for Newman is none other than Pete Newdeck, widely known as the drummer in the very successful Eden's Curse and also the powerful frontman in rising rock sensations Tainted Nation.

Both George and Pete will make their debut appearance with Newman at HRH Festival in Rotherham on 7th April, and also at Melodicrockfest 3 in Chicago on 28th September with more dates to be announced soon.
