The sound and emotion that the band pour into each and every song is incredible.

In my interview with John Waite (elsewhere in this issue), he told me that the reason behind this new live album was that once again he was feeling excited about playing rock music and that having such a wonderful set of musicians around him was inspiring. It was also amazing to find out from John that these musicians (Tim Hogan bass, Rhondo drums and Keri Kelli guitar (more on him later)), never actually rehearsed for this album, instead they were given a set list to learn, the results of which can be heard on 'Live: All Access'.

And what a set of results they are, because I haven't heard John Waite sound as good or this happy in many a year. The energetic performance he puts in on this wonderful, if somewhat short, live album is his best work in years. Just listen to his stunning vocal on 'If You Ever Get Lonely' and wonder as to why this man hasn't had a massive world wide hit single with this song because for me it's hands down, way better in every department than 'Missing You'. Then check out 'Change' which is still one of the best lead off live tracks (ever!), 'Mr. Wonderful', 'Saturday Night', The Babys 'Head First' and 'In Dreams' and you'll see that John Waite has lost none of the fire or passion that only he can put into a song or performance. Also the addition of guitarist Keri Kelli who plays superbly throughout, seems to have given John the thing he was looking for the most, the perfect foil from which to bounce his ideas off.

For a live album that lasts for just 33.38, the sound and emotion that the band pour into each and every song is incredible to hear and this all bodes well for John Waite and the future of his band. What we all want next though is a brand new studio release: please John!
