An exceptional debut album.

The Twenty Committee, formed in 2012, are a five-piece Progressive Pop Rock band hailing from Gibbstown, New Jersey. The band members are Geoff Langley (vocals, keyboards), Joe Henderson (vocals, drums), Steve Kostas (guitars) along with brothers Justin Carlton (vocals, guitar) and Richard Carlton (bass, harp).

Their debut album 'A Lifeblood Psalm' was recorded following a trip down to Nashville by the band's song-writer, vocalist and keyboard player Geoff Langley to meet with legendary Progressive Rock artist Neal Morse (Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Flying Colors). The latter was following the launch, by Morse, of the "Chance Of A Lifetime" series of videos on YouTube, in April 2012, looking for unknown talent to audition for his touring band. Impressed by Langley's original material, Morse booked the band a few months later into his Radiant Studios along with producer Jerry Guidoz (Neal Morse Band, Transatlantic, Flying Colors) to record their debut.

As one would expect, the musicianship is of the highest order across the whole album but special mention should be made of Geoff Langley's ear-catching keyboard and piano wizardry throughout the forty-six minutes. Langley's vocals may not be all that dynamic; however they are very relaxing and perfect for this type of album. The production is soft and warm with a mix as close to perfection as you would wish for.

The short 'Introduction', including vocals, precedes 'How Wonderful' that sets the scene for the album: beautiful crisp playing by the entire band. The ten minute epic 'Her Voice' is a real Prog tour-de-force with time changes galore. For the most part it is very laid-back affair featuring a stunning, almost experimental, lead guitar solo mid-section. 'Airtight' is another smooth laid back affair nicely nestled in the middle of the album. However, it it is the five-part suite 'The Knowledge Enterprise', clocking in at an impressive twenty-one and a half minutes, that will have Prog fans salivating. The instrumental 'Overture' includes some of the heaviest riffs on the album whilst 'Conceivers And Deceivers' features even more phenomenal keyboards and beautiful vocals. 'Tonight' has melancholic feel juxtaposed to 'With These Eyes' that is arguably the most commercial song on the album. The brief 'Finale' neatly concludes '...Enterprise'.

In summing up, this is an exceptional debut album.
