In every way imaginable, this is well played and executed Hard Rock.
3 Wheeler Band formed in 2010, hail from Monterrey, Mexico, and feature Adrian Giron on vocals and guitar, Jose Maldonado on drums and David Carrillo on bass guitar. The band's biography says they "aim to distribute their Rock on a global scale!" Having only played charity events, private functions and small shows, this is still a band at the beginning of their career.
Adrian Giron's vocals are as rough as sandpaper, and seem at odds with the Blues Rock approach of 'You Ain't That Lucky'. There is nothing inherently wrong with 'Me And My Jack', it's just predictable Pub Rock. The guys branch out a little on 'My Hangover' as the influence of early Led Zeppelin seeps in and gives the song some charisma.
'Beg For Mercy' reminded me of Black Oak Arkansas, while the intro to 'Break Me' is very similar to Deep Purple's 'Gypsy', before it changes lanes and gets all dense and grubby.
By the time I had got two or three tracks into this album my mind was wandering and I was reaching for the forward button. In every way imaginable, this is well played and executed Hard Rock, but the vocals though are an acquired taste, leaving the songs somewhat devoid of feeling and at odds with one another.
