It's a dodgy name and the music unfortunately is too. The band are from France and consists of two brothers and a Canadian. They date back to 1993 and already have two albums to their name. It's basically Hard Rock with a sleazy element and that in itself wouldn't be that bad but the vocals render the whole thing almost unlistenable. They have no power and Vince Zangiacomi mumbles in such a way it's difficult to hear much of what's being sung. I've listened, walked away and come back on several occasions to check I wasn't being unfair, but no, it's just not very good.
The songs go from the chugger 'Gasoline' to the Guns 'N' Roses vibed 'Life' and decently riffed 'Wedded Bless'. 'Hyperpace' is an instrumental and that in itself marks the song out as one of the better ones as it's spared the vocals. When Zangiacomi screams on 'Core Melting' it actually works better. The album also moves away from the sleazy GNR, Motley Crue posturing on 'Obsession' which is a slower, Grungier track that recalls Radiohead's 'Creep' of all things (in a small way). On 'Girl's Gone Wild' they sound like friends playing in their garage and that's where this should have stayed.
Their press release (equally shoddy as it duplicates paragraphs) boasts that they've headlined in their native France which isn't a very good endorsement of the current state of Rock over there. I'm not surprised they've had five sexless years, and if they continue in this vein they're likely to have more barren years. Find a singer, and then there might be some hope.
