There's really nothing to dislike here – the songs are well crafted and memorable, the playing exquisite and the vocals excellent.

Danish guitarist Torben Enevoldsen is something of a workaholic, involved in Fate, Fatal Force, Section A, Decoy and Acacia Avenue. That's good news for fans of good music because Enevoldsen is a skilled player and talented writer. While his recent release 'Above And Beyond' saw Enevoldsen make his fourth instrumental record, the return of AA sees Enevoldsen in full on, upbeat Melodic Rock mode.

In the interests of full disclosure, I will point out that I was hired to create all the artwork for this album. However, this doesn't sway my opinion of the record at all, as I never heard a single note of it while designing it. I simply discussed with Enevoldsen over email what he wanted, delivered the art, got paid and that was it. I was assigned to review it weeks after, but I will admit I was glad of the chance after reading some of the names involved on the credits when I was doing the layouts.

With Enevoldsen providing striking and vibrant guitar work, the songs are delivered by a collection of guest singers, some familiar to me, others not. First up on the pulsating 'Time' is Steve Newman, who delivers a sterling vocal, good enough to see him return for the catchy mid-tempo cut 'Angelina'. Rob Moratti is also on hand to deliver two songs, the glorious 'Love Will Survive' which is textbook Melodic Rock and the equally uplifting 'Signs Of Love'.

'It's Over' ranks as a standout for me due to its mellow vibe and the excellent vocals from Albin Ljungqvist. The strong title track, delivered by Torben Lysholm, sees piano play a big part in the verses before the anthemic chorus leaps out. The mix on all the instruments is crystal clear – often albums driven by guitarists can see the six strings dominate but not here, everything has its place and the sound is all the better for it.

A rampaging cover of The Tubes 'Out Of The Business' is another highlight with Mikael Roupe handling the vocals, before my absolute favourite 'Calling Out', performed by Nicklas Sonne, gets feet tapping and fists pumping. Grand Illusion's Peter Sundell rounds off the impressive collection of singers with his voice gracing the final track, the brooding 'Freedom From Doubt'.

There's really nothing to dislike here – the songs are well crafted and memorable, the playing exquisite and the vocals excellent. I heartily recommend it – the fact that it comes wrapped in gorgeous artwork by my favourite graphic designer is simply a massive bonus.
