Scottish rockers GUN hit the road in the UK in 2015

Following the huge demand for their three shows at Glasgow's King Tut's in November 2014, which all sold-out within 1 hour, GUN are thrilled to announce a full UK tour for March 2015.

The band will visit Newcastle, London, Wolverhampton, Nottingham and Manchester before a homecoming show in Glasgow.

The band will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album, “Taking On The World” released on October 27th 2014. The reissue consists of three discs, including original album, B-sides, rarities and BBC sessions.

Digitally pre-order the 'Taking On The World' 25th Anniversary Special Edition on iTunes and get three tracks instantly here http://po.st/TOTWiTunes Watch GUN perform ‘Taking On The World’ at King Tuts rehearsals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6komvIDbFLg&feature=youtu.be

GUN’s contemporary take on authentic rock gave them an edge over their peers during the late-80s. Formed in Glasgow by the Gizzi brothers, they came to re-invent the rock ‘n’ roll genre. In September 2010, “Taking On The World” was included in Classic Rock magazine's list of the 150 Greatest Debut Albums of All Time. Kerrang Magazine gave the album 5K, stating ‘The brilliance of Taking On The World Comes As No Surprise’ while Phil Alexander  called it  ‘…pop rock at its finest’

“Taking On The World” marked a milestone in the Scottish band’s history, selling more than 60K in the UK alone and the single “Better Days” charted in the UK top 40. Their March tour will see them playing a homecoming gig at iconic Glasgow Barrowlands.

Vocalist Dante Gizzi says ‘It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since we recorded ‘Taking On The World’ in Park Lane Studios. So proud of what we achieved with that album and just so happy that it’s been given a proper re-release. Playing the Barrowlands once again will definitely have a homecoming feeling for all of us. Some of the best memories I've had performing come from playing there. It will especially be poignant as it will coincide with the release of our new album. We can't wait”.

GUN are currently working on a new album which is set for release early 2015.
