Red Spektor release debut EP this coming spring

Red-Spektor-thumb

Fusing the more engaging key elements of psychedelic, stoner and classic
rock, 'Red Spektor' spit out rock 'n' roll riffs that are hypnotic,
energetic and genuinely gripping. The new wave Brit rockers nationally
release their debut self-titled EP on Monday 18th May, through all digital
outlets.

Born in Stoke on Trent at the end of 2012, Red Spektor set about honing
their craft in the rehearsal room, soaking up influence from the likes of
King Crimson, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
The three piece were soon in a place where they could take their music to
the masses, and a cluster of shows followed as the band laid siege on the
midlands and the north west. Gaining momentum, the threesome bagged supports
with Carousel Vertigo, Attica Rage, Texas Flood, and Lawless, and soon
amassed a growing legion of fans.

The rock 'n' rollers then turned their attention to recording, setting to
work on their forthcoming self-titled debut EP. The record features five
killer tracks that masterfully highlight the band's manifesto. The EP starts
with the rifftastic 'Hard To Please', which exudes stunning Hendrix/Page
influenced guitar lines and captivating vocals supplied by vocalist and
guitarist, John Scane. Next up is 'Transcending' which highlights the trio's
psychedelic tendencies, while incorporating Sabbath-esque groove to the mix.
'Everything' is an enthralling ride of high octane bluesy rock, and it
showcases the rhythmic stout of Darren Bowen on drums and Rob Farrell's bass
work. The blues flavouring continues with the excellent 'Redemption', and by
the time 'Earth Mother' washes over you with a high velocity wave of
QOTSA-tipped stoner rock, you'll know you've been served a feast of
absorbing new wave classic rock. UK shows are imminent, so stay tuned to the
band's Facebook page for details.

“The old Van Halen, when I was in it, makes you wanna drink, dance and screw. The new Van Halen encourages you to drink milk, drive a Nissan and have a relationship.” (David Lee Roth) - Quotes collected by Dave Ling (www.daveling.co.uk)
