Exhibits some of Powerwolf's most powerful work.

Powerwolf are the current leads in Germanic Power Metal and they now release 'History of Heresy PII'. If you have never come across this particular wolf pack then best you acquaint yourself; with an extensive back catalogue of some serious tasty riffs and fist thrusting melodies it would be rude not to and this release gives you the chance to do so. 'History... PII' encompasses the greats from 'Bible Of The Beast', 'Blood Of The Saints' and the bonus tracks from 'The Sacrilege Symphony' Orchestral album. It is a three disc box-set that comes with a one hundred and twenty-eight page book full of candid stories, backstage tour features and studio reports.

'Catholic In The Morning... Satanist At Night' would attract any Heavy Metal fan, with thrashing double kicks, a rapid rhythm section and haunting lyrics; it just oozes appeal. Now a favorite of many, 'Resurrection By Erection' will hook you in no doubt with its crowd pleasing guitar licks and catchy melody – there will be singing, there will be air guitar, there will be phallus symbols.

'Sanctified With Dynamite' is another crowd pleaser with the same charming effect, there is also the Orchestral version that has been added as well. Attila Dorn's Operatic vocal is astonishing, such a contrast hearing it in a more theatrical, film type sound where it has imaginatively been adapted and works; that said, there is a feeling of "do I take this seriously or not" as the band has such a comic value with some of their work. As an after-thought... this almost has a spoof-like 'Lord Of The Rings' soundtrack feel to it.

'History Of Heresy PII' exhibits some of Powerwolf's most powerful work. If you are new to the band, this album and 'History of Heresy PI' is an excellent way to start. If you are collector and dedicated fan, what's a fan collection without an album you can listen to from start finish, time and time again, with reading material from behind the scenes of the artists you worship.
