It's 2016, six years since we heard anything from this Greek powerhouse – and believe me, it has been worth the long wait! So, it is time to strap yourself in and prepare to feel and hear the awesome power that represents the beginnings of a new chapter from Innerwish... From the first barrage of sound, the strength and power is apparent and does not let up until the last power chords of 'Tame The Seven Seas'!

The term Power Metal doesn't do this release justice, as Innerwish not only return with a vengeance but they push their own boundaries to the tenth degree! Bringing in orchestral and choral elements, these six musicians continue to lay down some heavy foundations to each musical journey. Heavy, harmonious and power-driven, the music never becomes burdensome but pulses with energy that, at times, will leave you exhausted. The lyrical subject matter follows the same method of expressions. "Forging walls, to prevent ideals," is how we start out in 'Machines Of Fear', a song with a complicated bed of music that is heavy yet soars, elevating this musical journey to near epic proportions. Another ambitious track is 'Needles In My Mind' – a totally immersive musical movement that showcases the entire group's masterful musicianship. This is an album that continues to build from one section to another; it ripples, shakes, and builds upon itself to a final crescendo!

With thirteen tracks of sheer supremacy, Innerwish have written a commanding statement. It seems that the changes the group has undertaken in the last six years has had such profound effect on the music as well as the group's collective confidence. Lead vocalist George Eikosipentakis possesses a deep resonating set of pipes. Keeping the "pedal-to-the-metal" is drummer Frakiskos Samoilis with his amazing runs and lightning speed. Twin guitars by Thimios Krikos and Manolis Tsigos are absolutely stunning and bassist Antonis Mazarakis just simply anchors everyone to a common creative centre, and keeps the heart of the group muscular and healthy. George Georgiou orchestrates the band with his magical fingers on those many ivories – and every one of these guys continues to surprise us with what manner of music comes out of them!

Innerwish, 2016 – a new chapter is being written and we are invited to participate and this scribe will humbly do so! Hope you will too!
