After just nine tracks and thirty-three minutes the only thing to do is take a breath and hit repeat.

Those of a pink & fluffy designation (I still have my membership card somewhere) will hate this, but I love it. When the Ed sent this through to me I think he had reservations about its inclusion in the mag as it is certainly at the heavier end of the Rock and Metal music spectrum that we cover, and will have way too much firepower for our beloved AORnoraks and those with an easier listening bent. 'Bullshit Drama Social Media' is the debut full-length album from Sweden's Agaze and is a no nonsense "in-your-face" slice of Modern Metal.

The bio states "for fans of Avenged Sevenfold, Rob Zombie and Hardcore Superstar" and, whilst that is a fair assessment, I would also add a healthy dose of Five Finger Death Punch and a pinch of Bullet For My Valentine to the already agreeable mix. The incendiary arrangements are bristling with aggression and attitude but the melody key is always to hand to unlock the door to accessibility and appreciation.

Just crank the volume and hit play, then tell me the likes of 'Rock Bottom', 'Adrenaline', 'Hunt You Down' and 'BDSM' don't get the juices flowing and blowing the dust off the air guitar. The riffs and solos, courtesy of guitarists Eric Ryden and Daniel XIX Nilsson, are face-meltingly hot and the rhythm section (drummer Hakan Hcan Strind and bass player Simon Sez take a bow – now replaced by Susanna Salminen) are tighter than a nun's knicker elastic, the performances during every song simply smoke.

Singer Zeb Borg has an energetic, accent free delivery and there is not a death grunt or growl in sight, just plain old-fashioned Heavy Metal vocals that perfectly suit the caustic nature of the material. Jakob Hermann's production is both vibrant and bold, giving everything great clarity and separation the way every album should be.

There is no let-up in the intensity and after just nine tracks and thirty-three minutes the only thing to do is take a breath and hit repeat.
