A great little album for anyone who enjoys a bit of party Sleaze Rock with no pretension whatsoever.

Sometimes, what you really need is a bit of German Sleaze Rock. Okay, so no one has probably ever said that before but sometimes you certainly need a bit of Sleaze Rock, German or not, and Raygun Rebels are happy to oblige. It's apparent from their name, image and song titles that they're out for a little fun, and I was happy to indulge them, if only because they have cool cowboy hats on.

It's obviously no surprise that Raygun Rebels deliver exactly zero surprises on 'Pistoleros From Outer Space' and it is sort of comforting when an album doesn't muck about with your preconceptions. 'Girls, Cars & Whiskey' sets out the stall (after the obligatory pointless intro track) and from there on it's party hearty with catchy choruses, low slung guitars and plenty of alcohol.

Fireworks - The Ultimate Magazine For Melodic Rock Music

Led by Danny Raygun on vocals and Dom Raygun on guitars, Raygun Rebels are certainly one of the better Sleaze bands I have come across, simply for the fact they deliver strong "Rawk 'n' Roll" throughout the album without too much arseing about. My main confusion is why bassist Pelle Ericson and drummer Flick Rick aren't called Raygun as well. Seriously, these things keep me up at night.

Simple but fun, 'Pistoleros From Outer Space' is a great little album for anyone who enjoys a bit of party Sleaze Rock with no pretension whatsoever. One of those bands who entertain then bugger off, Raygun Rebels are a fun addition to anyone's collection.
