ETERNAL BOY premiere 'Hung Up On Hope' music video
06 July 2017
"...heavy-hitting and nostalgia-filled with super catchy vocals, shredding drum beats, ripping guitar riffs and angsty bass lines that encapsulate the throwback pop punk world." – Alternative Press
Pittsburgh-based pop-punk trio Eternal Boy are announcing their upcoming video release of 'Hung Up On Hope'. Set as the lead video for the upcoming album, 'Awkward Phase', due for official release on the 14th of July. This nostalgic pop-punk trio have already seen the premiere of their first track 'Growing Pains' on Alternative Press; calling it "Heavy-hitting and nostalgia filled with super catchy vocals". An ode to the ethos of the throwback pop-punk world; personified by friendship, heartache, and those countless awkward moments of growing-up, Eternal Boy's sound is a familiar hark back to more optimistic days, something which there is clearly a call for today; reaching features on Alternative Press, Sound Fiction, HiFi Noise, Prelude Press, and achieving the Top 20 on the iTunes Alternative chart.
This video single 'Hung Up On Hope' encapsulates the culture of which Eternal Boy operates; a tongue-in-cheek video about a love triangle between guy, a girl, and a dog named Mo which ends on a positive note to "Adopt. Don't Shop"; a side note to the responsibility to potential dog owners to rescue a dog from a shelter rather than a breeder.

Having proved themselves playing a huge amount of shows in the US, UK, Japan, China, and Australia, Eternal Boy are an international act having played the Vans Warped Tour, and already have shows booked for their east coast tour of the US this July 2017, including festivals where they are due to support some of their influences such as The Starting Line. Having already achieved a premiere on Alternative Press, 'Hung Up On Hope' could be that single which will now launch Eternal Boy into the same trajectory of other pop-punk greats such as New Found Glory, Blink 182, and Alkaline Trio.
