A definite case of quality over quantity on this quite stunning Metal album.
Power-inflected Heavy Metal is the order of the day on Swedish band Prime Creation's debut album which now gains a worldwide release, with it previously only being available in their native country.
Formed from the ashes of Morifade, you'll hear touches of Evergrey and Darkwater on the likes of the stomping 'Born In Fear' and the crunching speed of 'Years Of Crossness', while there's traces of Pink Cream 69 in the 'War Is Coming'.
Star of the show is the incredibly talented Esa Englund whose vocals elevate the whole affair to another level. This isn't for the faint hearted – although, it's not on the same level as, say, Slipknot – and the riffs come thick and fast on this sometimes frenetic Heavy Metal album. 'Friend Of Trash', 'Scream' and 'Crown Of Creation', the latter a Melodic Metal masterpiece, come and go in a blur of sharp riffs and skilful solos all embellished by Englund's "proper" Metal singing.
At eight tracks long this release might be a little short, but it's a definite case of quality over quantity on this quite stunning Metal album.
