Hi all
Matter of fact I purchase Bonfire "Fireworks" in the days of only copy I seem to have of Boulevard issue 15 with interview by Bruce Mee and issue 1 of Fireworks Magazine with interview again. That is last time I purchase the band music. I am playing Byte The Bullet on Spotify and not what I would purchase. They said Fist albums was bad but like them and this is mush up music. One Desire album really rocks one of my favourite album.

Re BONFIRE, Bruce:

This might not have the mighty Claus Lessmann on vocals, but new arrival Alexx Stahl certainly provides a much better vocal focus than did David Reece (whose work elsewhere I have enjoyed). Indeed, this has the sound (excellent mix courtesy of Tom Müller) and the feel and the quality of a classic release by Bonfire and maintains a high quality throughout (with the exception of the brief nonsense that is 'Friedensreich'). The album has a first rate start with 'Power Train' and the joyous variations upon the unmistakably Germanic hard melodic rock sound solidly continue until one reaches 'Locomotive Breath' - probably my favourite Jethro Tull number. I was fearing the worst, but was actually delighted by Bonfire's rendition which is different enough and yet sufficiently respectful of the original to emerge unscathed and an enjoyably interesting listen! There's more variety from 'Reach For The Sky' onward but the quality of performance and production holds the attention (albeit with the unnecessary nonsense already mentioned that follows 'Sweet Surrender') Another wonderful 2017 release IMHO!

Two great albums by KARNATAKA there, John.

There is, however, in your list one that I simply cannot abide - NICK MAY 'Whimwise'. I remember being hugely disappointed by it - and found it tremendously lacklustre. But, hey, if you like it, then that's good for you!

Hi
Just posted long reply with long list of other music I have been listening to in last 3 months. But when tried to summit it failed "got the wrong code." I will post another list next month of "Currently Listening To"
I have just purchase Bonfire "Live...THE BEST" from amazon. This be my second album of Bonfire. I also have Accept debut album from 1979 on vinyl great for Heavy Metal, I have to play that and Fireworks vinyl LP at weekend. I also like Shadowquest "Armoured IV Pain" which can be purchase on digit download from Bandcamp. Stefanie amazing country Rock cross over with Heavy Rock in Fireworks issue 78, found out it has been also released on cassette.

Best to All
John
